Makes 10 large or 20 small biscuits
Double chocolate gorgeousness disguised as a cookie - perfect as an addition to your cuppa. They will be gone before you notice!
150 g unsalted butter, room temperature
80 g brown muscovado sugar
80 g caster sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
200 g plain flour
25 g cocoa powder
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
¼ tsp salt
- chocolate chips
1. Preheat the oven to 170*C. Line baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Beat butter with sugars until creamy.
3. Beat in vanilla extract and egg.
4. Sieve in the flour, bi-carb of soda and salt and mix well.
5. Add chocolate chips and mix well.
6. Portion forming walnut-size balls and put on baking tray spaced apart to allow to spread.
7. Bake for 8 to 10 mins. Allow to cool for 5 mins on the baking tray and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
